About Tim Hendy Pianos

I tune, restore and sell pianos. My passion is to provide the highest level of personal service to new and existing customers through first-class tuning and maintenance of their instruments, and also by assisting them to obtain the best quaility piano available within budget.

I trained at Steinway & Sons (1978-1984) and have been a member of the Pianoforte Tuners' Association since 1993. My workshop and showroom are located in Kingston on Thames.Visits to the showroom and workshop are by appointment so that I can give undivided attention to your requirements.

Tuning

First-class piano tuning service is offered at competitive rates. I am absolutely reliable, punctual and pleasant, and pride myself on the quality of my work and my problem-solving abilities; I can often effect minor repairs on-site (string replacement, pedal repairs, sticking keys, etc) which might normally be considered workshop jobs. Restoration

I restore many instruments on-site here in London, and am glad for clients to visit me during the process, to satisfy and reassure. I also offer instruments for sale which have been professionally restored by specialist workshops abroad, and can arrange for your instrument to be restored by this method. I am able to pare costs to a minimum due to the cottage-industry nature of my set up, and the benefit of several decades' experience in the field of all aspects of piano work. More...
